ScarChat is a lightweight, fully Blueprint-based real-time chat system designed for Unreal Engine multiplayer projects.

Blueprint Structure
ScarChat is built using only three core Blueprints:

WBP_ChatPannel – Main chat UI, input field, scroll box, and hide/unhide animation
WBP_ChatMessage – Individual chat message row (Player Name + Message)
PlayerController Blueprint – Handles all networking, server calls, and client updates
Game Mode - To call player controller

UI Framework
The system uses Unreal’s native UMG widgets including:
Vertical Box, Horizontal Box, Scroll Box, Border, Editable Text Box, Button, and Text widgets.
All UI elements are modular and easy to reskin or rearrange without touching any network logic.

Networking Architecture
ScarChat uses a server-authoritative model:

Clients send messages to the server
The server distributes messages to all connected players
Each client updates their local chat UI

This ensures consistent, synced chat across all players with no duplication or desync.

Platform Support
Works with EOS, Steam, Dedicated Servers, Listen Servers, and LAN.
There is no dependency on any specific online subsystem, it uses Unreal’s built-in replication system.

Performance
Event-driven, no ticking, no polling. UI updates only when new messages arrive, keeping performance clean and stable even in multiplayer sessions.
